Privacy notice
This notice covers the personal data handled through i-hq.tech. It is short because the site collects very little.
Last updated 25 September 2026
Who is responsible
iHQ Tech CommV, Leuven, Belgium, is the controller for the personal data described here. For any question about it, or to use any of the rights below, write to hello@i-hq.tech.
What is collected, and why
The contact form. Name, work email, company if given, and the message. They are used only to read the enquiry, reply to it and follow it up. The legal basis is taking steps at the sender's request before a possible contract, and a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
Email sent directly. The same data, used the same way.
Technical logs. The hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser and time, to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify visitors.
A preference in the browser. The light or dark theme choice is stored in the browser's local storage. It never leaves the device.
Visit statistics. Visits are counted with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that iHQ Tech runs on its own server in the EU. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not follow anyone across other sites. It records the page viewed, the referring site, browser, device type and country, and a few site events such as opening a case or sending the contact form. Browsers that send a Do Not Track signal are not counted. The legal basis is a legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.
The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Enquiries are never sold, never added to marketing lists, and never used to train AI models.
Who processes it
Messages from the contact form pass through Resend, an email delivery service, on their way to the iHQ Tech inbox. The site and its visit statistics run on a cloud hosting provider in the EU, and email is held by an email provider. Each acts only on iHQ Tech's instructions under a data processing agreement.
Resend is based in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by the safeguards the provider offers, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted. If an enquiry leads to a contract, the related correspondence is kept for as long as the contract and Belgian accounting and tax law require.
Rights
Anyone whose data is held can ask for a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@i-hq.tech; requests are answered within one month.
Complaints can also go to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, at dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
If the site starts collecting anything new, this notice will be updated first and the date above will change.
